Well here we are again, sadly at the end of the ski season, and what a great season it has been. The huge impact as a result of the economic downturn never materialised, and whilst some operators felt a small impact, all but the poorly run company's generally came through pretty well.
Here at Family Chalet we won't be stopping however and will continue to bring you a variety of family ski topics, and after all, its only seven months both the season starts!

Ski Verbier
For family chalets, Discover Verbier have some great value luxury chalets that not only are great value for money for family ski groups, they also come with a great family service. My favourite as Chalet Flora Alp which has so much charm having been one of Verbier's original chalets, long before the ski boom. But which ever chalet you choose, it is sure to be a great family ski holiday.

Ski Christmas
As the season draws slowly to a close, although not according to the snow depths with Chamonix boasting 380cm, the next family ski opportunity is the Christmas ski break starting for many operators on Sunday 19th December 2010 to accommodate for Christmas Day falling on the Saturday (and News Years Day also).
Always a popular wee with the best family chalets, so we recommend you book this week early.

Luxury Ski Resorts
If you are looking for great luxury ski resorts, but for families, and without the cost of the obvious resorts, here's three tips for great skiing, but family friendly skiing at that:
- Tzoumaz (Verbier) - Part of the Verbier Four Vallees, this great little resort offers shorter transfer times than its big brother Verbier (circa 30 minutes less), yet with its great lift access, one lift and you are hopping into the same network.
- Les Houches (Chamonix) - Just outside the big historic town, but with family friendly skiing, including a great children's area, magic carpet (travelator), and adapted chairlift for young beginners.
- La Tania (Three Valleys) - A lively and developing small town that has a great little family ski atmosphere, via the gondola great access into the main Three Valleys network, yet at a fraction of the price of the more well known neighbours.
